Rory is the Founder and Managing Director of hospitalitybiz. He has extensive experience in the hospitality industry extending over 25 years, working across four continents.
He has spent many years working in a General Manager capacity in prestigious international Hotels. Rory has also worked as Operations Manager of a large multi-national corporate catering company. Experienced in working with large teams and in diverse businesses, he has in-depth knowledge of production processes, process improvement, logistics, and industrial relations, Quality Assurance, Occupational Health and Safety and business strategies.

Rory has a Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering and has completed several summer courses in Food and Beverage management run by the internationally renowned Lausanne Hotel School in Switzerland and Cornell University in the United States.
He won a scholarship to study at Cesar Ritz Hotel School in Switzerland and in conjunction with Washington State University in the USA to study Food and Beverage Cost Control and Managing and Selling Hotels.
Rory has completed a course in Business Management including business finance, sales and marketing and business law, as well as all aspects of running and setting up a new business. Rory is the Vice President, Local Chamber of Commerce .
