Teresa Garbo Lee – Vice President Global Executive Search

Hong Kong born Australian Teresa Garbo Lee has been in the hospitality business for over 20 years. She completed her hospitality management education in Switzerland, and has furthered studies with Macquaire Graduate School of Management (Australia) and Henley Business School (England).

Utilising her operation and senior management background, Teresa has worked in areas including performance management system, food and beverage concept development and implementation, project consultation, strategic planning and hotel pre-opening and re-branding.

Teresa started her career with Movenpick Hotels and Resorts in Switzerland and has been working with various leading hotel groups thereafter, including Kempinski Hotels, Hyatt Hotels and Resorts and Fairmont Raffles Hotels International.

Teresa returned to Australia in 2011 from a 6-year assignment in London where she was Executive Assistant Manager for Swissotel The Howard, London. During her time with Swissotel Hotels and Resorts, Teresa was also Human Resources Champion (representing both Asia Pacific and in Europe region).

Teresa has performed many key roles in the hotel business worldwide (Australia, China, Vietnam, Japan, Switzerland, England). Teresa’s works in the performance management system won her the title of Human Resources Director of the Year (Fairmont Raffles Hotel International 2009). Her ability to transition from human resources function to general management impressed judges at Shine Awards UK in 2010 where she collected The Corporate Women of the Year Award.
