Hervé Charpenay – Recruitment Manager

Originally from France, Hervé comes from a long family line of Hoteliers, Restauranteurs and Pastry Chefs. Having spent most of his career working in fine dining venues, Michelin star restaurants, Casinos, Resort Hotels and Cruise ships in France, Australia and Asia he is well versed in the requirements of the hospitality industry in today’s market.

Hervé has twenty-five years experience in management positions with a focus on team leadership, customer service, strategic planning and development. He possesses strong interpersonal skills developed through the management of internal and external relationships. Being born and raised in this industry, his passion is firmly entrenched in the quality service and fine ingredients that are the benchmark of success in the demanding world of hospitality.

Arriving in Perth in the 1980’s Hervé worked at a number of trademark restaurants in Perth city; including the iconic Garden Restaurant at the Parmelia Hilton in the days of guéridon service and table cooking and most recently worked in the Burswood International gaming room looking after high profile VIP’s.

Following the completion of a Diploma of Management in Hospitality and a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and International Studies at Murdoch University, Hervé commenced employment with a large Recruitment Company as a customised assistance specialist. Combining his expertise in the hospitality industry and recruitment he joined hospitalitybiz in 2009 as Recruitment Manager.
